Proposal on the post corona era educational system

I believe that education in the post-Corona era can be pursued to achieve full equality education while seeking higher standardization at the same time. The method is as follows: Top professionals in each field film lecture videos corresponding to the educational curriculum and release them to the public for free.

Before discussing the advantages this method brings, let me first clarify the present status of Korea's educational system. Among the most talked-about keywords in 2020 are academicism, private education, and abolishing specialized high schools. Private education and specialized high schools were first created by people's desire to receive a better education. However, such desire led to keen competition among both students and parents, forming a massive private education market. As these markets have a steady and extensive demand, the costs rose astronomically, making it impossible for low-income groups to sufficiently support their children in educational aspects. Therefore, recent views toward private education and specialized high schools are callous.

Now, let us examine how the method suggested above solves the problem. The main problem private education carries today is that low-income groups can't afford the education from competent lecturers. Theory suggests that an increase in supply decreases cost. Yet, increasing the supply of education was difficult in the past. It was because the ratio of students per instructor was limited. However recent development of communication technology has made a breakthrough in such limitation; millions could audit the same lecture. This method proved actual through the Corona era. Therefore I propose to produce and distribute high-quality Internet lectures at a national level to replace public education.

If students receive education in the method mentioned, they can create a personalized curriculum considering their career suitability and interest. Students will be provided necessary learning materials through the Internet for free thus they can pioneer their career path without financial support. In other words, even the underprivileged will be able to receive the education of the best educators.

This method carries even bigger advantages.

First, records of education made on the Internet will naturally be computerized, proving what students have studied and took interest in. No one will have a successful future with false self-assertion and inflated grades anymore.

Second, only teachers who have proven their skills can make educational videos, so teachers should show a steady enthusiasm for school and education. Teachers who do not will be left behind, while teachers who do can focus on education in a much better environment. Good treatment to qualified lecturers will naturally cause an influx of competent talent to the education industry, fostering the next generation of intellectuals.
